The yellow roses were in the shop, I just had to take their picture. I may put this in the show at the end of the month. The colour is great and i quite like the composition.
A creative person by nature, Winhara's life has been consumed by the arts. A true magpie at heart, Winhara is fascinated by colour and texture, a love that is visible in both her career as a floral designer and her work as an artist.
Winhara’s collages are often inspired by a poem, and the idea of interpreting the poet’s words through collage intrigues her. The challenge of finding just the right images and components and bringing the material together , layer after layer, to tell the story excites her. Through her ability to see beauty in everyday objects she is able to combine things that mean nothing on their own into a work of art that inspires.
This year has been a busy one for this artist. Winhara manages the King St Gallery and began her tenure as Artist in Residence at The Colonel’s Inn . As well Winhara is the first recipient of the Prescott and District Chamber of Commerce Artistic and Cultural Contribution Award .
Winhara is a member of the South Grenville Guild of Fine Art, and the Seaway Autumn Studio Tour Group
